The Law and The Prophets

Matthew 22:36-40 King James Version (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

In a manner Jesus corrected the questioner; there are TWO not one.
We can equate these with the two pillars that stood in the porch of Solomon’s Temple.
Boaz and Jachin were two copper, brass or bronze pillars which stood in the porch of Solomon’s Temple, the first Temple in Jerusalem.
Boaz stood on the left and Jachin stood on the right.
“Boaz stood on the left and Jachin (“founding”, Tiberian Hebrew יָכִין Yāḵîn) stood on the right. Jachin that is, “He will/shall establish”. Boaz that is, “In its strength”. According to Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews Boaz was to the left when entering Solomon’s Temple, while Jachin was to the right when entering the temple made by Hiram.” – William.Larson
